संस्कृति...संस्कृत्य...संस्कार...Similarly as the translations of the above terms interpreted as follows; Culture, Cultural Heritage and Cultural Values
We are the breeds of the cultural heritage and so we groom ourselves out of this heritage. Probably our entity will be blurred if we will be away from the concept of Traditions. Realising these inherent values of culture and traditions, Sudarshan Foundation took a step ahead and mediated in the conservation, value addition and dissemination of some of the rare crafts of the Tribal communities of India, which are either becoming rarer by each passing day or are in the verge of extinction. In our pursuance to know about these lost or almost unknown arts we traversed some of the remotest parts of India and found the skillful people engaged in the creation of these artistically exquisite artefacts of art and aesthetics.
Each of these forms of art are unique in themselves and so are the makers of these curious exhibits. Sudarshan Foundation, thus, under its work group 'Sudarshan Traditions';
took up the task of making these cultural menifestations not only known to the people around the world and its diverse cultures, but, also to be conserved and enriched with its rich history and heritage.
Therefore, each of these craft forms will be firstly; documented with their rigourous historical understanding and history and then will be conserved along with the patronisation of their manufacturers and will be promoted for the cultural enrichment. The tasks becomes noble in its approach because, the art when conserved not only becomes heritage and source of pride, moreover, then it is the source of knowledge for coming generations.
We beleive that those all who will be concerned about such activities will support us and promote the concept of not just buying but also knowing indepth what all crafts are about in the human evolutions and cultural menifestations. As quoted from the :
"To keep pace with the changed scenario in World Trade and in view of WTO regime, there is a need to bring changes in Handicrafts sector for exploring its export to compete in international markets, sustain livelihood of over 4 millions crafts persons involved in the sector as well as to keep revival and preservation of old traditions and tarditions of Indian crafts."
